QLD Health Covid Update
Posted on: 19 November
Dear Members,
As you would no doubt be aware, we in Queensland are fast approaching the time when 80% of our eligible population will have been double vaccinated against the Covid 19 virus.
At that time, notably December 17 or sooner, we have been advised there will be Government mandated changes to how we are permitted to trade as a business.
While we understand the Queensland Government is still drafting the final Public Health Direction, which hopefully will provide much clearer direction, we believe that as a minimum only double vaccinated patrons (aged 16 and over) will be permitted to enter the dining areas of not only our club, but all clubs, cafes, restaurants, hotels and taverns.
We also understand that to attend any of these venues, either proof of vaccination, or a medical exemption will need to be furnished each time the facility is visited. We believe the proof of vaccination will be available through the Check In Queensland App. that we have all become accustomed to using.
We recognise and understand there are many opinions and thoughts on these scheduled changes, but ask that you understand, Links Hope Island is bound to comply with whatever we are legally obliged to do.
We will continue to monitor the progress of the Public Health Direction and will keep you informed as and when more detail is released.
Yours Sincerely
Links Hope Island
